Since May, a lot has been happening on the construction site of NOVAPOR's new production facilities in Kaltenkirchen. The expansion, announced last spring, which includes an additional 2,000 square meters of warehouse and production space, is now in full swing. The new building is progressing rapidly and work is on schedule, with completion expected in December 2024.

Current status of the project

To provide a more detailed insight into the current status of the project, we conducted an interview with Ole Bendixen, the project manager at NOVAPOR. He is in charge of the construction progress and is instrumental in ensuring that the work is completed on time and within budget.

Question: What is the current status of the new building?

Ole Bendixen: The new construction is going extremely well. We have now successfully laid the foundations and are currently in the process of erecting the roof. It is an exciting moment as the building is slowly taking shape and we will soon be able to start the interior work.

Question: Are there any particular challenges that have had to be overcome so far?

Ole Bendixen: As with any major construction project, there are always unforeseen challenges. Fortunately, we have been able to overcome all of the problems we have encountered so far. Because the courtyard behind the building is also being repaved, we will be short of space in the short term. However, we have been able to compensate for this well through clever planning.

Question: How will the expansion affect production and everyday work at NOVAPOR?

Ole Bendixen: The additional 2,000 square meters will enable us to significantly increase our production capacity. This not only means that we can work more efficiently and process larger orders more quickly, but also that we can respond more flexibly to short-term peaks in demand. The expansion also creates space for future technical investments and modern machines that will further optimize production processes.

With the construction of the new production facilities, NOVAPOR continues to focus on growth and innovation. The additional space will give us more storage capacity, which will lead to shorter delivery times and thus increased customer satisfaction. The completion of the project will mark the start of a new era for the company, in which NOVAPOR can further expand its position as one of the providers of packaging solutions.

We will keep you updated on further progress and look forward to celebrating the completion of this important construction project in December.
